8. Jason Plato (BTCC)

Two time British Touring Car Champion Jason Plato is next on my list. I was a big Fifth Gear fan during it's original run as well as watching BTCC for a few years before that. I also was a big fan of the Seat Leon which Plato was in at the time, so he was the obvious choice as my favourite driver.
Never afraid to get his elbows out (on track at least), his close battles with Honda driver Matt Neal were often the main talking point throughout the 2000's, with the front running pair often making contact, not forgetting Plato's battles with Vauxhall team-mate Yvan Muller in 2000 & 2001.
While not always at the front today, with youngsters such as Ash Sutton, Tom Ingram & Senna Proctor making their way to the top, Plato will go down as a BTCC legend.
